The Lager Tour Tickets

The Lager Tour returns on May 4, 2013 and are offered every Saturday and Sunday at 1PM through the end of September.

This year's tour will visit two pre-Prohibition breweries, including lagering cellars deep below Over-the-Rhine, before returning to Findlay Market. Along the way you'll learn how Cincinnati was one of the major brewing centers in the country, how beer was vital to the development of Over-the-Rhine, and the architectural impact of the breweries on the neighborhood.

Participants will start and end at historic Findlay Market in the Over-the-Rhine Biergarten. We'll see historic pre-Prohibition breweries such as the original Christian Moerlein complex, once one of the largest in the country. We'll visit inside the Clyffside brewery, one of the most stellar examples of brewery architecture in the city, and see the ornate high-bay brewing spaces inside before traveling deep under the Jackson brewery to the massive lagering cellars in the Clifton hillside. Walking back to Findlay Market and the Biergarten, we'll hear about Prohibition and how Over-the-Rhine is finally recovering from The Great Mistake.

Tickets are $20 per person and include the 1 1/2 hour tour. Physical tickets are not sent out, your PayPal reciept will serve as your ticket. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early at the OTR Biergarten at Findlay Market (Elm and West Elder Streets) to check in.

Online ticket sales are closed for this weekend, but tickets are still available via walkup for Saturday August 10 and Sunday August 11 at 1PM. Check in and tickets are available after 12:30P in the Biergarten.
